SAVE MONEY: Walmart Savings Catcher Update

I hope many of you have been enjoying the Walmart Savings Catcher program mentioned last month on the Shorter blog!

This is an update to let you know, getting $$$ back just got easier with Walmart.

You can now SCAN the receipt with the Walmart app for android or iPhone.

SAVE MONEY (APP): Checkout 51

One of my favorite savings apps, Checkout 51 helps you get cash back after purchasing groceries!

Checkout 51 is available in the App Store and Google Play store

The process is easy:

• Every Thursday morning at 12:00AM new offers will be available in your account.
• Purchase items from this list
• Take a picture of the receipt in its entirety
• Check off the items you purchased in the app
• Build up your savings to $20, cash out, receive a check!

The app is very easy to use, just make sure your receipt is dated in the time frame of the offer, it changes weekly!

NOTE:  Walmart Savings Catcher is in Beta status, only available in the following cities:

• Atlanta
• Charlotte
• Lexington
• Dallas
• Huntsville
• San Diego
• Minneapolis

Walmart Savings Catcher will give you the difference after comparing locally advertised prices for the items purchased.

COUPONER?  WSC will still give you the difference back BEFORE coupons were applied. i.e. you paid $3 for a $4 item with coupon.  WSC found a local ad with item at $3:  You still get $1 back!

Credits can be built up in your Walmart.com account then transferred onto an eGift Card.  You may print this out to use in-store.

Rules:

7 receipts per week, 15 max receipts per month

Applies to in-store purchases only

Does not apply to most non-grocery items
